Valerie Hughes Show Listener Enjoys Great Day Out

"Just a quick note to let you know how much my family and I enjoyed ourselves on our family "free-day" at Perks, Leisureland. I was lucky enough to have won a competition run by Mrs Nora Perks in conjunction with the Valerie Hughes Show on Galway Bay FM Radio. The Prize was a family free day out at Perks, Leisureland and Saturday, 9th August was the day the family (I had no say in the matter!) decided was best for all concerned to avail of the prize. Four children and two adults therefore arrived at Perks, Leisureland and were met and welcomed by Mrs Nora Perks who furnished us with the necessary passes and discs and off we went to enjoy all the fun of the fair. The children really had a ball going on as many rides as they possibly could, young bodies withstanding, before deciding that the dodgems were the best "craic". This was mostly because they were allowed their own individual car (what a thrill!!!) It boosted their confidence no end and they were all walking ten feet tall at the end of the day.

Finally let me say a big Thank You to Nora and Russell Perks for making us so welcome and for looking after us while we were there and also their staff (especially the dodgems crew for their patience with our inexperienced drivers). Thank you all for a wonderful day, which will be talked about by the kids for many days to come."
